Waiting Patiently For A Bill To Repeal the National Emergencies Act

Posted on 03/15/2019 12:08:18 PM PDT by cotton1706

But you see. The Congress LIKES the Executive to have the power to declare emergencies and reallocate funds.

They just don't want TRUMP to have the power to declare emergencies and reallocate funds.

Mike Lee?? Where are you, you phony!!

Mike Lee is Utah. Hatch was ok in the beginning. It’s better than mittens who goes wobbly right off the bat.

Then, why don't they pass a judicial emergency act, where the courts can instruct the government on specific actions and effectively appropriate money? Oh, wait... The courts can already instruct the government to do things, with no mention of where the funding will come from.

Mike Lee and the others are all on the take.

It needs to be announced that members of Congress are going to be under investigation for public corruption.

This would make ABSCAM look like a bunch of unpaid parking tickets.

Every Mormon in office is a disgrace to what they ran on.

They lie like CAIR, 0bama, and the Clintons.

Here’s the deal... They have to “voice” opposition to the idea even though they know that he will veto whatever they throw at him, and that they cannot override the veto. It is all for the record keepers and their own historical vote records going forward...

Trumps good on this one... If he can get it done fairly quickly. :)

Congress has been very busy lately (since 1976), so while they would love to repeal this law, they haven't gotten around to doing it. The Executive Branch should have realized this and refrained from using this delegated power. Who does Trump think he is, Obama?

All these people talking about Legislative and executive power ought to take a look at the Judicial branch— activist liberals judges are practically running the country by blocking almost everything Trump does.

Fix that.

Yeah, now that Obama is done with them we don’t need them any more. How about the 31 that are still in effect? RINOs suck.

Precisely. Congress willingly abdicated this authority to the Presidency long ago.

This is all about opposing Trump and about not defending American sovereignty.
