Facebook, Instagram down for hours; worst outage in its history

According to the BBC, this is worst outage in Facebook’s history. The last time the social media network had an disruption this big was in 2008. At that time, the site had 150 million users; it has around 2.3 billion monthly users today.
Facebook did not say what was causing the outages.

I believe that it is mostly true. Except the part where they mislead you into thinking it is all about Donald Trump(old news as well). I also think that this has something to do with the outage today. I believe that they had to do a cleanup and get rid of evidence.
