Yep... That’s where I was until recently myself. I was fine with Win 7 because I could shut off updates or pick and choose which ones I might truly need on MY terms and it just worked. Then I realized the countdown had started and Win 7 was on it’s way out the door, I was going to get caught with my pants down with Win 10 forced on me as the only MS option. NEVER doing Win 10 so Hello Linux!
So far there are so many advantages I haven’t even wanted to look back at even Win 7, I am now kicking myself in the rear for not switching sooner. Currently running both dual boot on this machine and haven’t had a reason to boot in Win 7 for many months now. I highly recommend considering this rather than getting caught at the last minute with nowhere else to go but Win 10... Because we can’t stop that very real countdown. :)
