He was good but forgettable because it’s only been a few days and I don’t remember what he sounded like. More original than the others though. A lot of mediocre singers with shocking sob stories or just 1 hard time in their lives. They should have a positive season. Where they focus on good things the contestant has done. I’d rsther see maybe a military hero, a girl who saved someone from drowning, a guy who was poor and started selling real estate at 17 and made $500,000 or whatever. It’s not “what happens to you” but what YOU DO. Let’s not hear stories that make you sad. Enough.
Or else the next step is “let’s give a recording contract to the most pathetic person ever show.”
Kind of like that old show, "Queen for a Day," where the woman with the most pathetic sob story would win a Maytag washer or something.
