A mob hitman recalls his possible involvement with the slaying of Jimmy Hoffa.
GEORGE: Oh, he's the comedian.
JERRY: I'm just a regular person.
ALTON: We had a funny guy with us in Korea. A tailgunner. They blew his brains out all over the Pacific. (Long pause) There's nothing funny about that.
Looking at the cast, it appears DeNiro will be “the Irishman.”
Pacino will play Jimmy Hoffa.
Quite a cast. Check this out:

Just an FYI for everyone, The Irishman is a Netflix movie. I have seen talk that it may get a limited theatre run for award consideration but this one will be streaming otherwise.
Otay....I clicked on the link.....
Just finished watching the whole movie.
It was worth the watch!!
Thanks for the link!!
Kind of reminds me of Gary Oldman in this scene.
He was very funny in My Cousin Vinny and Home Alone.
if this movie approaches the greatness of “Goodfellas”, it’ll make a huge fortune. i haven’t been to a theater in many years because everything being made is utter dreck, but I’ve been waiting for this one with bated breath ... it’s based on an excellent autobiography called “You Paint Houses, Don’t You”, by Frank Sheeran, an irish hitter for the italian mob ...
They’re actors for God’s sake. Don’t try to make them anything other than an empty shell that will spew out what ever is required by the script.
Won’t get any royalty money from me ... just a bunch of Progressive turds.
It would have to gross over $400 Million just to break even, I don’t see it. If this is a Netflix film then they spent a lot of money they will not get back.
I’m not watching anything with A**hole De Niro in it.

With Gabrielle Anwar, before she became the gun-toting badass we all know today.
...but we DONT want the IRISH!
I doubt I will see this and I can't see anything but a Box Office Failure for this film with that kind of budget. They would have gross about $400 Million just to break even.
Well looks this is the Swan Song for De Niro and Pacino, a disaster waiting to happen.
_____________
....... agreed.
Save the money and watch Hoffa with Jack Nicholson

I have seen it, great picture.
Even “FIST” with Stallone is not bad.
I have no interest in any of them.
It's just a damned shame that movie didn't star Robert Duvall instead of Al Pacino. Besides being a much more believable officer type, Duvall is married to a tango instructor and he can dance it beautifully.
And a much better actor...
DeNiro is actually 3/4 Irish. His father was half Italian and hence the name.
