Not enough knees left to ski and down here in the Mid Atlantic golf season is looming. Nice to know there’s still some real America left close to the liberal ground zero metro complexes.
I hear ya. My knees are shot.
We transitioned from downhill to X-C, only to save money [when the kids were young]. No long lines, expensive lift tickets, crowds ...and you can X-C almost anywhere.
Also snowshoeing has become the *rage*. Great fun. Great workout.
We’re trying to maintain our conservative roots as best we can. Coming from the endless spenders in Connecticut, to the fiscally responsible small town Vermonters is a delight. Budgets are small. And tight. Our little village of 1,000 has no debt. It is quite wonderful to see.
Of course, we have no amenities, like in CT, multi-million dollar boat houses, fancy senior centers, a multitude of police officers tripping over themselves ... We love it.
