I received a questionnaire from the Republican party, presumably wanting to understand the voters in the district. I was going to ditch it because I believe, cynically, that it is a fund-raising gimmick. We have no Republican party in Maryland ... both senators are democrat and there is one, single, lone Republican representative in the House, and he was Gerrymandered out of my district. So, I truly have no representation in my Federal government.

But, I am very disheartened by the questions. The Republican party is clearly not with the president. He still has opposition from within as well as from all Democrats and media. How on earth does he keep going?

They ask in a number of ways if I support Trump, including asking if I'll support him in 2020! This is the Republican party asking. And, every policy question is along the lines of Trump wants something, do you agree?

I don't know whether to make it a Trump love-letter and include a note admonishing them for trying to put sunlight between the party and the president, or just let it go. Life is short and they are useless.

We need to start a national campaign to only send money directly to candidate. Too many people still think GOP is legit.

We get so many such questionnaires from so many Republican sources and Trump pacs, that I finally started throwing them in the trash. I answered close to 10, until I started thinking that this is a gimmick, and the more surveys I send in, the more additional groups pile on in my mailbox. I already donate monthly directly to Trump.

I’m with you, even our governor is a Trump hater and when our congress critter was gerry-mandered, it became a communistic state
