The Germans have some lovely words such as sippenhaft, which is basically making a family collectively guilty. In the 1940's, a politically-connected guy named Müller - or without umlaut, "Mueller" - relentlessly dealt with "crimes" and was enthusiastic about such things.
I wonder what the German term for "threatening the rest of a family if one member doesn't collaborate" is? I'm sure it would be mellifluous.
