I was just thinking about this the other day, oddly enough.
Imagine a Chinese invasion of the West Coast or Alaska. 150 divisions with armor and artillery.
The ridiculous registration of young men would be revealed for the farce it is. There is no plan to induct or train large numbers of men (never mind women) adequate to defend against a threat from a large and capable army.
FDR started drafting people before pearl harbor in 1940 because he knew what was coming. His intent was to create an infrastructure of commissioned and non-commisioned officers to train an Army when the time came. Even those precautions were inadequate when looking back through history. That is the conclusion from officers at the War college from 1954 on, not my conclusion. I concur with their conclusion.

Despite being officially classified as combat soldiers, women in combat roles are not deliberately deployed into combat situations. They are expected to respond in the event a combat situation does erupt, but are not deployed to situations where there is a high risk of combat.
The three mixed-sex infantry battalions are deployed to border patrol duties on the Israeli borders with Egypt and Jordan and security duties in the Jordan Valley, and female infantry soldiers are barred from joining the frontline combat infantry brigades which are deployed in the event of war.
Female tank crews, who are also only regulated to border guard duties, do not serve in the regular armored combat units.
