At that particular time, they had hired a few young, single guys right off the metaphorical turnip truck; lads who thought that company-issued credit cards could be used for all sorts of personal purchases made in the course of a trade show. They bought a hilarious variety of goods (and services), and were unpleasantly surprised when the accountant/controller informed them that prostitutes, expensive liquor, and a cornucopia of nicknacks were not "business expenses."
LOL! I guess they should have chosen a career in government, then the taxpayer would have paid for them.
