To many amateurs make the mistake of trying to pick the ball up off the ground with an iron. The trick is to imagine you are driving the ball into the ground and the angle of the iron makes it fly upwards. Watch the pros they almost always take a divot cause they swing down through the ball they don’t try and lift it.
I gave up miniature golf because I got tired of having to climb the fence to go retrieve my ball.
