I was comically making fun of Jay Hemmings and his seemingly glowing fondness for Muslims.

Having read the article, and looking at the others he posts on "War History Online", e.g.,

Articles by Jay Hemmings

...I fail to detect a "glowing fondness for Muslims". In fact, I didn't see any other articles of his which even touch upon Islam or Muslims. Quite the contrary, they are all about military history of one era or another.

How one can infer from an article on the military genius of Möngke Khan a "glowing fondness for Muslims" is beyond me.

That fawning article made ancient Islam seem like the greatest thing in the world ever since sliced bread.
To my mind the only thing beneficial that Muslims promote in our society is perhaps hummus. That’s about it.
