And they had to buy Samsung screens to do it!

I had a Samsung Note 2 that I bought new in 2012 that finally died. I bought a used Note 4 in late ‘17 for $100. It does everything I need. I do like the ability to do freehand sketches and notes offered by the Note with stylus.
