Concealed carry is technically legal in every state. Most states, you automatically get a permit if you are not a felon. Some states (notably NY and California), it is at the discretion of the local police chief, and may be difficult.

All 50 states are required to allow concealed carry, more states are becoming Constitutional carry with out a permit open or concealed. I have taken to carrying my full sized Glock 40 s&w daily openly. I keep my CCW permit merely for reciprocity sake with states I travel to.
