Maxine Waters continued to point out that Trump had incited the attack on Smollett Her statement is true. It's the implication that a trump supporter was inspired and carried out the attack that is false. There is no doubt in my mind that if Trump were not president, Smollett wouldn't have paid the Nigerians for the attack.

(Okay, perhaps, with the LGBT twist to it he might have still done it for that angle of pity I guess.)

I don’t believe the incident was an ‘attack’ by any stretch of the imagination any more than a movie/TV fight is a real fight. The Nigerians look like body builders and Smollett looks like a skinny gay guy and his injuries consist of what, a scrape here or there?
