I, too, am not holding me breath. What's interesting is... on some black-oriented websites in the early days after the story broke, posters overwhelmingly knew it was a hoax. They thought it was a gay hookup gone wrong and even suspected the hate mail two weeks earlier had been fake. (I also suspect that Smollet sent those letters to himself.)
