This is probably why Schiff is now ramping up to go after Trump's finances (going back -- decades?), because it's becoming clear to him that he's not going to get anything helpful from Mueller.
BTW: This is featured in bold red font center of Drudge Report:
Some inside stuff in that article. But it is Dowd’s opinion.
Not sure how Mueller gets away with no report, with no absolute clearance of Pres. Trump.
That leaves the door open for endless House investigations (I think there are now 6) of all Trump matters.
LAWYER: MUELLER WILL SAY NOTHING! 'WILL NOT ISSUE REPORT'
Yeah, but the story at the link does not >quite< match the headline on Drudge.

There are a few motivations driving Schiff. One is to provide cover for his own law violations such as leaking sensitive matters and for meeting with members of GPS Fusion.
Another is to find out who Trump’s business partners are so they can be harassed, sabotaged, framed. This can be done by examining the Trump tax returns under U.S. Code Title 26. INTERNAL REVENUE CODE Section 6103 (see related thread http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3726020/posts).
It’s fairly certain the tax returns themselves will be clear as Donald Trump has hired the best tax accounting firms to do his taxes and he has been audited each and every year by the IRS including Obama’s politically weaponized IRS. So that leaves only a few motivations for prying into his tax returns and that would be to find the extent of Trump’s network of business interests and target them for political attacks in much the same way Mueller attacked associates, managers, partners of Trump. Why did Carl Icahn, an acknowledged genius level leader in business and close friend of the President withdraw as the President’s Special Advisor? Ans: To escape political prosecution.
