Amazing - if that red van had just stayed stopped the first time it would have been fine. (Well -until the next idiot looked down the hill and said “oh - I can do it.)
I think this was the same storm where the school bus went off the road and was dangling off the bridge or embankment. Luckily it didn’t go over the edge, and all the kids on board were okay.
Watching the news, they said the city doesn’t use salt on the roads because it pollutes the water.
My son (12 at the time) pondered that for a moment and then said “But Puget Sound is saltwater anyway. That doesn’t make any sense.”
Since 2002 they have been using salt on the roads.
I remember that bus! That was the same year it dawned on the city that they shouldnt run articulated buses in snow.
