Reading about the tariffs and election of 1888. Found a great quote from Senator James Blaine when he was asked to run after earlier losing the election to Cleveland in 1884. He said: “A man who has once been the candidate of his party — and defeated — owes it to his party not to be a candidate again.”
Wonder if Hillary might take a notice of that.
