I never saw “End Of The Spear”, but definitely know the story of Nate Saint and Jim Elliot. Have met Mrs. Elliot (Elizabeth, I think), and believe she died recently. I listened to her for years on BBN radio.

The son of one of them went back to the Auca mission when he was older and worked with some of the now-Christian Indians who had murdered Saint and Elliot. They told the story of playing Christian choir music (on records, I assume) where they lived, and once when some of the converts heard it they were startled. They said that when they had been murdering Saint and Elliot they heard that sound in the air.

Thanks for the update. I knew about the son’s follow up years later and interaction with the chief who killed his father but through Grace had be become a follower of Christ but did not know the other details.
