The water is down a bit BUT it’s raining raining raining so it will be much higher by evening. The conservation officers have a new air boat. Thank God. Sheriff department has had 2-3 water rescues a day that they can more easily get to with the bassboat the sheriffs office use on the river.
People don’t realize what usually is a couple inches deep is over a yard or more of fast moving currents.
Two small communities and an elementary school completely surrounded by water. People are flooded in who can usually just take “the long way round”.
We can get out and probably will once the fog lifts. Then three more days of rain. Pray for the sheriff department and conservation officers (most are former students of mine). who are risking their own lives to save STUPID people. (Who weren’t ).

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 52% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-seven percent (47%) disapprove.

Good morning...Glad to hear from you. I figured it was really scary there....Living in a valley makes life challenging doesn't it! The restaurants in Jeff must be close to the river....REAL close...as its probably almost at their back doors. Our storm sewers can't hold all of this rain. Most of our water goes out through Blackiston Mill area and then into the Ohio. It will be backing up too soon....and the family's Body Shop is next to the creek that goes into the mill area.
