It's usually considered Poor Form in Navy circles to cause the Training Unit Commander (and especially the Leading Chief) to have to compose Condolence Letters, even for Darwin Award finalists.

I had to smother a LOL when I saw LMC's line about "never saw him again".....odds are pretty good that that Leading Chief transferred the problem child directly from the hospital to someplace that made him wish he'd died.

(We had a similar situation long, long ago and our Leading Chief sent our doofus to Adak. For ever.)
