So what really happened with Trump's deal on Friday?

Well, first off, he brought the furloughed federal workers back and got them paid. That is now off the table. Second, Congress now owns the border wall. This is what should have happened in the first place. Let's place the blame where blame is due. During Obama's first two years, when they had the majority, they could have opened the borders permanently, but they didn't. They had the majority in both houses as well as 60 votes in the senate. Nothing happened. (Things that make you go hmmmmmm) This time around, the blame is 100% on Paul Ryan. Republicans had the majority and could have done this in the first month, but they went the same was as the Democrats in 2009. Why? (More hmmmmm and we need more analysis of this)

As the consummate project manager, Trump transferred the risk to the right place, congress. It is their responsibility to appropriate the funding for securing our country from foreign invaders. "Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1. The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States; 1."

I submit that Trump didn't cave. Trump's responsibility given to him by the Constitution is to protect our country from foreign invaders and rather than declaring a national emergency, Trump placed the funding for the border wall into the right hands. It now falls upon congress to appropriate the money the President is asking for.

Now Trump has leverage and the momentum to gain support for this as well as his 2020 run. If Congress fails to act, Trump can honestly say that he gave congress the chance to do this the right way and they failed, he can even blame Pelosi for this since funding will have to originate in congress. Now he can declare the national emergency, get his funding, build the wall and lay the blame at the feet of Pelosi, Schumer and any other elected swamp dweller who failed to do their job.

Finally, what Democrats and NeverTrumpers are fearing most is Trump now can give his state of the union speech to America and highlight the fact that congress now has the responsibility to provide the funding and failing to do so he can announce his plans to declare a national emergency and the government will stay open.

I like your thinking. But alas, we don’t live in a perfect world and perception to many of the sheeples equals reality.

Gonna go out on a limb here and postulate far less than half of voters cast their vote based upon deep convictions.

And the bulk of the media as the Fifth Column has sway over far too many people.

I will vote for him regardless of what happens short of proof of some type of capital offense.

He brought out many people from the sidelines who had long been feeling disenfranchised politically speaking. I fear the constant drum beat of “Hate Trump” will have an effect and if Florida and Texas flip many of “us” will fade away into the shadows of disenfranchisement once again.

3 weeks gets us past:

1. Confirming 51 more judicial appointments held over and re-nominated since last Congress

2. Confirming Barr as AG. Then, let the fun begin!

3. SuperBowl security measures assured.

4. Having exceeded 30 days' shutdown prompts review for extending lay-offs for some, and elimination of positions/RIFs for others.

5. As others have said, do the State of the Union -- Pelosi has no excuse to refuse Trump now, and frame the security issues to the Nation in screaming neon.

Trump did not cave, folks.

WHY? Because the centuries old struggle between freedom and slavery, liberty and domination...GOOD vs EVIL has VISIBLY surfaced right here in America in our lifetimes. And that BATTLE will require that EVERY citizen who cares about those things burn with a FURY deep and strong enough to see the battle through to victory.

"Madame President Nancy" (as she is now known), and Chuckie would beg to differ. To put the cheery on top, Madame President Nancy postponed the State of the Union address just to rub Trump's nose in it in front of the entire nation. Yeah sounds like he's "winning" alright.

As soon as he declares a national state of emergency, Madame President Nancy, Chuck and their corrupt socialist judges are going to shut Trump down and tie him up so hard, for so long in the courts, NOTHING WILL EVER GET FUNDED OR BUILT.

I sincerely hope that I am wrong, but so far Trump is batting ZERO when it comes to going against the swamp, and getting a PHYSICAL WALL funded or built. All he has done is threatened, tweeted, cajoled, plead, begged and complained. He has done everything but ACT.

The time for "playing nice", trying to "work with" and "negotiate" has been over for a very long time.

The handwriting is on the wall: the DEMON RATS, and "RINO republicans" have absolutely no interest in "acting fairly", obeying the law, negotiating in good faith, building a wall, or securing the border.

They have made their intentions perfectly clear: THEY ARE OUT FOR BLOOD, THEY WANT TO DESTROY PRESIDENT TRUMP, OVERTHROW THE RESULTS OF THE ELECTION AND THE WILL OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, PERMANENTLY DESTROY THE COUNTY AS FOUNDED BY LEAVING THE BORDERS TOTALLY UNPROTECTED SO THAT HORDES OF CHEAP LABOR, CRIMINAL, ILLEGAL ALIEN LAWBREAKERS CAN OVERWHELM THE SYSTEM, AND CREATE A NEW, TOTALLY DEPENDENT, UNDERCLASS VOTING BLOCK THAT WILL REPLACE AMERICAN CITIZENS AND KEEP THE DEMON RATS, AND THE DEEP STATE SWAMP IN POWER IN PERPETUITY BY "FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORMING AMERICA". And yes, I am YELLING because you would have to be a dolt or a fool to not undestand this reality by now.

That is their stated goal and objective, and they are succeeding.

You can't reason or "negotiate" with them, you must ACT ASAP! Because the very existence of the nation is at stake and they have absolutely no intentions of stopping to implement their stated objective, none whatsoever.
