The Longhorn statue in that picture (post 202) is starving. What an odd pice of art.

I noticed that, in fact it was painful to look at. Sadistic really.

Or, poignant.

Recalling the artwork known as “The End of the Trail”, it always hurt me, but it was truth, and especially growing up in Oklahoma I embraced true history.

The Longhorn artwork is also a tribute about the sheer heartiness of the breed, to endure bitter winters, droughts and/or long cattle drives.

Animals, like the land, you will die trying to save it and keep it.

So far, PETA never uses these pieces of art.
