So let me be very clear: We really have no choice but to build a powerful wall or steel barrier. If we don’t get a fair deal from Congress, the government will either shut down on February 15th, again, or I will use the powers afforded to me under the laws and the Constitution of the United States to address this emergency. We will have great security.
.......

My favorite part of POTUS’ speech.

This was pretty good too:

“And that problem, because of the Internet, is the biggest problem — it’s never been like this before — that you can imagine. It’s at the worst level — human trafficking — in the history of the world. This is not a United States problem; this is a world problem. But they come through areas where they have no protection, where they have no steel barriers, where they have no walls. And we can stop almost 100 percent of that.”

~ Feb 15 POTUS declares emergency
~ EO goes to court, hopefully quickly
~ Court confirms EO, verifying State of Emergency
~ We have our WALL
~ Court case confirms Deep State’s subversion of the American People for last 50 days

The problem is that Democrats now know that Republicans can take a shutdown for 35 days before McConnell and the weak links decide that it has gone on long enough and tell Trump to end it. Democrats always hang together 100 percent. Unless Trump puts together a group of 1/3 of the House or Senate that is immovable, he will have to give in to McConnell.

Personally, even if he would lose, I think he should force Congress to override him, and issue a statement with his veto that he will personally work to replace any Republican who votes to override his veto. That will probably keep them in line. He plays too nice with the RINOs.
