do not cave and give them funding until feb

Those republicans in the senate who've shaken hands and made deals with the democrats are the worst kind of people.
Self interested traitors.
And they have already sold you and Americans out...

RIF and declare the emergency.

Everyday I read about law enforcement officers who are still working but not getting paid. Border patrol agents who are working but not getting paid. Coast Guard personnel who are working but not getting paid. Coast Guard helicopter pilots who are flying search and rescue missions but not getting paid.

If all these DHS people are working but not getting paid why is DHS still considered non-essential? Why is the DHS not getting paid?

The dems put a bill to fund the government but left DHS off the funding in the bill. What is up with that? The Democrats don’t want the wall... is it also a fact that they don’t want DHS either? Is that the real impetus behind the stubbornness - that they don’t like DHS therefore nothing DHS or DHS related will be funded? I think we all need to call our congressman and our Senators and ask him some questions about why DHS is being left off and considered non-essential but they are still working as if they were essential. They’re working and not getting paid for the work they are doing right now.
