Several months into the Trump administration, I started running a daily "Border Wall Construction Update" on Twitter, announcing how many miles of the wall had been completed that day and how many miles since the inauguration. It was always the same numbers: 0 and 0, respectively.
I was immediately attacked by people in the Trump base. You're being unfair, he hasn't had enough time, there's a legislative process, he's doing the best he can.
As days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months and months turned to years, and not 1 inch of the wall was built, the "3-D chess" crowd dwindled.
Ann, if waving a wand would make the wall appear, I’d do it just as readily as I’d wave one to make you STFU.
I think a better question is “Why post it?”

Someone please explain why Trump, who is Commander in Chief, simply cannot order the Army Corp on Engineers to construct a wall along the southern border in view of the ongoing security threat. He can get the funds by redirecting existing Pentagon allocations. Think of the monies available if he actually does disengage from some of those debilitating foreign entanglements. Until a credible explanation is offered, Coulter has a point.

Tired of hearing all the “3-D” chess nonsense (which IMHO is exactly that - there IS NO larger game plan. He’s being outplayed). POTUS needs to act, and act TODAY.
There are photos, videos, official media references, and witnesse to portions of Wall going up to replace wrecked fencing, dilapidated barriers.
The 2018 Omnibus included $1.6 billion to repair and upgrade existing fencing and barriers along the border. That which is replacing the old fencing is vastly superior and higher than anything previously seen.
When POTUS says he is putting up portions of the Wall, he is NOT lying. It is Coulter that is lying. She feigns victimization from the Trump base. She deserves every bit of hell she receives from that quarter.
Coulter should go back to what she does best, servicing that progressive boyfriend of hers with the ugly mug, Bill Maher.
Apparently, I phrased that poorly. If getting funding through a Congress, whether Democrat or Republican, were easy as waving a wand, Trump would have done it. The Imperial Presidency never was.

Declaring a “national emergency” would just make it easy for them. And they will challenge it in court and can even put a stop to it in congress. Why go through that. Make them pass the proper CR with wall funding already it in.

No the American people respond to accomplishment. If the wall gets built, if criminal alien thugs are actually deported, if Maduro is deposed, then the American people in 2020 will realize that Trump is more than sound and fury. Personally would have been much more impressed if he followed his instincts, did not surround himself with these old globalist generals and other globalist advisors and actually disengaged from at least some of these foreign entanglements. Still like most conservatives will continue to support Trump considering the alternative. However in the end my vote is a given and not crucial. Its the muddled middle he needs to impress and that is done with actual accomplishments

And that’s the thing about Coulter. Somewhere within her often rambling articles there is always a nugget of clarity - something that needs to be said.
Any soldier that refuses an order is subject to immediate arrest, imprisonment and dismissal from the service with no pension.

Plenty of wall going up in areas where the original fencing was only 5 feet high. Tons of pictures, youtube vids of new wall going up. The steel slat fence works well, tall, great deterrent. Where new wall is built, border crossing drop 99.9% in those areas. However they just go to areas that are only chain link fencing or nothing.
I don’t understand the lies about what is getting done
Unfortunately, this is spot on. Many on this board look at Trump as a calculating mega-genius. Maybe in business. Not so much in the shark tank of government. While he accomplished much in his first two years, he also wasted two years (and possibly his presidency) by surrounding himself with worthless employees like Jeff Sessions.
