As far as I'm concerned (as an almost long-ago J-school student), there hasn't been a real-live proof reader or copy editor employed in the MSM since 1963.
All the current crop of "editors" and "reporters" do is CTRL-C/CTRL-V below their byline (which is canned as well) until the word count is satisfied, hit ENTER and take off for lunch/dinner/pahtay.
Nobody (Including the remaining subscribers) reads that [****] anyway.
