However, the process to do so would be so extremely hazardous without a homogeneous population to affirm it, it's likely not worth the risks.
I think the original intent re selection of senators could be reaffirmed and protected with a tweak or 2. But then one has to deal with corruption at the level of each state.
I'd like to see some way to prevent lobbyists from being within 150 feet of a legislator and/or all legislators wear 24/7 recorders reviewed weekly by a common citizen committee for any lobbying discussions etc. etc. & stiffly fined if so.
Perhaps that would need to be coupled with a citizens website wherein various options could have individual citizen input of a limited number of words/pages each citizen.
It's all idle musings because no such changes are going to occur before Armageddon, anyway.
