Reminds me of a prayer my dad always said, usually shortened to just "Patience gains all things."
I was an excitable boy, probably still am a bit at heart.
Eternal rest grant unto William, O Lord and
may perpetual light shine upon him
May his soul and all the souls
of the faithfully departed
through the Mercy of God
rest in peace.
7
Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing;
God only is changeless.
Patience gains all things.
Who has God wants nothing.
God alone suffices.
Eternal rest grant unto William, O Lord and
may perpetual light shine upon him
May his soul and all the souls
of the faithfully departed
through the Mercy of God
rest in peace.
Nice prayer. I like it.
Well, he went down to dinner in his Sunday best
Excitable boy, they all said
And he rubbed the pot roast all over his chest
Excitable boy, they all said
Well, he’s just an excitable boy
Amen
