In theory, you’re right. But I was making an argument from a strictly legal point of view. (I know, better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.)
The ideal outcome for that guy would have been to stop the threat AND avoid jail time. Well, he stopped the threat. But I’m rather sure he’ll do some serious jail time.
