“on the basis of the briefs and transcripts of oral arguments.”
**************
So can anyone document incidences where any judge has been able to decide argued cases, without sitting in a courtroom, while testimony and arguments have been given?

Can anyone cite where any previous SCJ has been able to decide argued cases on the basis of transcripts of testimony?

Do we have any instances, other than the latest vote by Ginsberg, where a SCJ was able to vote on a case from their hospital room?

After RBG criticized Prez Trump she should have recused herself from any decisions concerning him - essentially forcing her retirement. Just recently the Dems (the people who run this country) demanded that Justice Kavanaugh recuse himself.

In their (Dems) minds you and I are speaking about that ancient republic that once existed on the North American continent.

Chief Justice Rehnquist voted and wrote opinions while at home and not present for oral arguments.
