It had to do with his very controversial decision. Kavanaugh came down on on the odd side of a case, on like his very first case decision. Conservatives got a jolt. I was one, but an argument was made on his behalf, somehow.
Maybe Jonathan Turley defended his decision, on FOX, or Andrew McCarthy, who is mostly reliable.

I remember some kind of decision that Kavanaugh made that essentially bumped it down to work through lower courts. I think I remember reading that it made sense that way and then would work its way back up, or something of that nature.
I do hope someone who knows more chimes in.
