I've leaned not to get too upset / excited until something actually happens. A thread on the main site states the Dims are already rejecting the offer - even though there hasn't been any offer yet. So maybe he is putting something out there he knows will be a no-go with the Dims, & Trump will proceed as only Trump can.

I believe what you said is what’s going to happen. The dems are committed to RESIST.....they will decline. This will give the president the green light to go the state of emergency route. After saying “no” to today’s offer, they will look REALLY bad if they challenge the state of emergency in the courts. People must be getting so tired of their antics.....even their own people.

He’s done this before, many times. Gets people speculating on what he will do and then getting angry about it. And then he ends up doing something completely different and makes us all very happy. So we will see!

Since he calls it a major announcement, I suspect it will be bigger than what people are surmising.

Harlan Z. Hill @Harlan PBS-NPR-Marist poll: 51% of Latino adults “strongly approve” or “approve” of the job @realDonaldTrump is doing. Trump was only at 31% percent in December. His disapprove is down from 64 to 46%. Seems like Latinos like the Wall! Why won’t media report? 🤔
