Yeah that sentence about an alert and knowledgeable citizenry got me depressed. We certainly don’t have that anymore
I remember reading animal farm and 1984 in high school. My son was not assigned those. they may not even be allowed by socialist teachers now
It’s amazing just how ignorant the masses are, today.
The millennials have some real shocks coming up.
My kids had to read Animal Farm, in HS. I was pleasantly surprised that it was still required reading, not that long ago.
