Our hypothetical Stupid scale, once below the 6 or 5 ceases to relate to immediately life threatening Stupid and just progressively less and less severe bad choices, which by the time we get to a Class 2 Stupid may be easily overcome without lasting consequences. In fact, at either 4 or 5 the idea of consequences you cannot easily overcome should become a big feature of more severe Stupid.
