I haven't seen much of Janda, but what I have seen is impressive. Here, actually, he is beating a dead horse: Congress has been pushing us towards a financial collapse for some years now - continuing resolutions, base line budgeting... Best evidence pro: Trump tax cuts produced record revenues yet deficit spending and debt rises to new highs.
Congress is full of carpetbaggers: many multi-millionaires, a few billionaires... almost NO budget hawks. The interest payments on the national debt is about to swamp the federal budget. Donald Trump is our last barricade against collapse... so he is under virulent attack.
Same principle holds re: foreign trade. We have been sending nearly a trillion dollars a year off shore - and have created a world power out of China single-handedly. Prez Trump is trying to retrieve much of that loss of dollars, and the Deep State is painting him as an incompetent boob. I saw a piece in the WaPo the other day by an economist urging the DS to rise up against idiot Trump so we can help poor China in troubling times... Says 'yeah' China steals and cheats, but... might have mentioned - but didn't - how they continuously devalue their currency so they can continue to drain dollars in a trade imbalance. Trump has asked them to let their currency float free like all other major currencies.
We are told that fighting China on trade is going to hurt Americans. First: American Military is fighting for freedom all over the world... some sacrifice at home can be called for also. Second: China stands to lose about 10X as much in a trade war; it is to their advantage to negotiate to sustain as much advantage as they can. Instead, the DS has been encouraging China to play politics against Trump in hopes of waiting him out... AND, the American people are being fed a mountain of propaganda.
As Dr. Janda says: “This is all part of the war we are in right now.”
