We had a pretty violent tornado in Connecticut on May 15. Trees down everywhere in my neighborhood. I lost power for over a week!

But it wasn't a violent tornado. Nope, just a gentle spring breeze. You must not have been trimming your trees sufficiently, not matter that your city code forbids dramatic trimming.

Violent tornado - one that hits the weatherman's’ house.

Non violent tornado - one that hits your house.

Having experienced F0 through F4 tornadoes (and being out of town when the F5+ hit Wichita Falls in ‘79), I can assure everyone that any tornado above F0 will certainly get your attention, and your insurance agents’ attention.
