Nobody would watch a nice little romance story staring us old, dumpy, not so pretty people.
The last movie I saw about an old couple in love was “Right of Way” with Bette Davis & Jimmy Stewart.
They close the garage door & start the engine of his classic Dodge.

The one I watched last night had a subplot where the fat ethnic (Hispanic?) sidekick woman kind of had a romance with the white old grandfatherly guy in town. I thought it was nice that they dealt with the old lumpy folk too. Don’t get me wrong: the main star-crossed couple who kissed at the end were drop dead gorgeous, of course.
