Can you suggest a means of McConnell securing 10 Democrat votes?
McConnell should at least force the bill to a vote to get all Senators on record. Dems, and some Pubbies too, will now continue to say the they are for “border security” just not for a wall.
We lose the House in a week.
Can you suggest a better time to put people in a room and make them protect their country?
Even if the Dems do nothing, you can embarrass them in front to the whole country.
But Ryan and McConnell are content to let Trump fight by himself. No GOP Senator speaks up alongside him, while the media uses Trump for target practice every damn day.

Because on January 3rd, the chances of success go to zero.
And the newly seated Dem House has one objective-—impeach Trump.
