There are no checks mailed out. EBT money is automatically deposited into the recipient’s account. Each recipient has a card like a credit card that we taxpayers replenish each month. Many recipients call it their “pay check.” It should be called their thank-you-very-much-taxpayers card.
Yes, it was meant more as a figure of speech. I see them whip out their EBT (US Taxpayer Gift Cards) every time I am at the grocery store. (Our register screens show the payment type.)
I would still like to see a poll and article written explaining how many millions of EBT $$$ have been processed, during the government “shut down” - especially to those here ILLEGALLY!!
