Merry Christmas. Sorry you had a less than pleasant day. It is difficult to be with those who are against us, who are not part of WWG1WGA. I thought I had a stressful day with the dems in my husband’s family today. However after reading your account, I realized they had not insulted Trump while we were there, nor had they thrown Gov. Walker’s loss and Tony Evers win in our faces (he won only by the fraud in Milwaukee county). I predicted they would do that but they refrained from political baiting this year. Not so other years. I go and try to be amiable. It has been more difficult every year as the gap between us conservatives and them, hard lefties, widens .
Tomorrow for Christmas Day we see my family. All conservatives. No stress.
I feel badly for dreading the trip to the inlaws every year. Things deteriorated between my husband and his sister this year. Made for an icy day even in a warm house.
I go because I should, it’s the right thing to do. And I know one day his parents will be gone. They are in their 70s.
Took our dog with and was able to take several short walks to decompress.
The vibe there is not good.
I feel negativity from them. Ever since Gov. Walker won and was recalled and won and then won a second term, things have been dicey in Wisconsin between the right and left.
I lost a long time friend because she hated Gov Walker and knew we’d voted for him. She signed his recall paper. She was cold ever since and now we’ve stopped sending Christmas cards as of last year. I knew her since college in the 1980s.
It is a time for choosing. I choose to fight for America alongside President Trump the only person in government I trust. And alongside my fellow Americans who want us to be truly free, and to bring corrupt politicians and deep staters and globalists to justice.
You are right to compare the division to the civil war.
My wife’s sister and her Aussie husband are liberals but we NEVEr talk politics. It was always my wife’s mother who would instigate it. This is our first Christmas since she passed. My parents were always conservative but not near as much as me.
