Don't you think that any investigations in the House or the Senate are only so much monkey business? Busy work while the DOJ does their job?

I've always thought that...especially when it comes to the House. That's why I never condemned Trey Gowdy for the Benghazi hearings. There was no harm he could cause to befall that evil b*tch...but what he DID do was put the issue front and center keep it in everyone's faces.

However, Q said the Senate has more 'power' and their hearings will be more meaningful. We'll see. I still think their biggest accomplishment will be public disclosure of the DS's crimes.

Congressional investigations are important as a way to get facts before the public - it’s all public relations. It would be pretty bad if they didn’t do it. The DOJ won’t discuss ongoing investigations so the public would have NO IDEA what’s going on, which I’m sure they would prefer.

I think Q's reference to the Senate is the power they have in confirming judges. That's a big power. Too big to be put in the hands of Democrats, for sure.

I agree that the hearings have served to educate the public. I see lots of people on facebook posting about political things. Folks that normally don't say much are getting real involved. Q raised the involvement to a whole new level.
