Not at all, you perfectly described my own “shock and awe” that startled me way back when. It’s the very reason that when NPC’s start their “little dog” barking I KNOW they haven’t been to the source, to bathe in those waters and discover just how similar we all are.
The Forbidden City isn’t for everyone, but for those of us who find the FREEDOM so beautiful, with all of its faults, it’s worth every second.
