We can pray for his family. Praying for the deceased does not and cannot change their eternal destination.

And while you're at it, pray for the predator priest.

I'll pray that Roman Catholicism musters the courage to deal with this issue and get these predators out of the priesthood and that they come to a saving faith in Christ.

We should also be praying for the surviving members of the family. Their lives for forever changed by this tragic event.

BTW, deviant gay intercourse, like every other kind of deviant perverse intercourse, is a sin.

When anybody does that, clergy or laity, gay or straight, male or female, married or unmarried, drunk or sober, closeted or loud and proud, it is a sin. If you don't repent and you receive ANY Sacrament unrepentant, that is another isn on top of the first one.
