This past summer, I had a skinny teenager approach me while I was putting groceries in the car. He said he had nothing to eat and was hungry. I told him I’d just purchased cold cuts and could make him a sandwich. He said, “No I want a Burger King,” and walked away.
I’ve seen one guy that looked in good shape begging at a McDonald’s.
I have never begged, even at my lowest times. There were a few of those. I found a way back to life each time.
