At #169 you said this:

As I’ve noted, NASA says that video from the moon was fed to a Deep Space module, where the huge recording machine with 1” tape was rolling. On batteries.

The link that you gave us at #190 does not use the words "Deep Space module" or huge recording machine running "on batteries."

https://www.lpi.usra.edu/lunar/missions/apollo/apollo_17/photography/

It says “Video was received and recorded from lunar distance at any of the three Deep Space Stations.”

The three Deep Space Stations are on Earth, not out in space somewhere running on batteries as you seem to be implying at #169.

About the Deep Space Network

“The DSN consists of three facilities spaced equidistant from each other – approximately 120 degrees apart in longitude – around the world. These sites are at Goldstone, near Barstow, California; near Madrid, Spain; and near Canberra, Australia. The strategic placement of these sites permits constant communication with spacecraft as our planet rotates – before a distant spacecraft sinks below the horizon at one DSN site, another site can pick up the signal and carry on communicating.”

Thank you for correcting my misinterpretation... Deep Space Stations are actually ground-based TV uplink and TV downlink transmitter and receiver dish positions on earth...

... but all that just proves my point.

There would have been no time for someone in Houston to receive "lunar" footage from a station in Australia, and the uplink a transmission to remote control the mechanical zoom lens on the c. 1970 video camera was left behind on the "moon" .... for live broadcast.

The problem is with the zoom and tracking shots in the footage of the lift-off of Apollo 17 from the “lunar surface” here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HQfauGJaTs

This was supposedly shot by a “circa 1970 color video camera that was left behind on the ‘lunar’ surface” ....and strapped to the battery powered Lunar Rover Golf Cart .... while this analog camera was supposedly remote controlled into zooming and tilting up in this resulting tracking shot....

...and we have been told this half a billion mile round-trip video transmission only took 1.5 seconds from the "moon" to the camera operator in Houston and back to the zoom lens mechanism on the "lunar" camera?...

< Where was the TV Downlink receiver, or transceiver strapped to the Lunar Rover Dune Buggy for this type of sophisticated video transmission? I mean, we think about what we need now for TV broadcast trucks?

I mean, the receiving dish at the earth station was 200 feet wide.

And this “remote video control from earth for live broadcast using year 1970 mechanical and analog camera equipment over half a billion miles through space for archaic video transmission to a TV Downlink station in Australia, who then Uplinked the video footage to NASA in Houston, after converting the footage to minimum broadcast standards, where Houston supposedly live controlled the camera on the “moon” to capture this video footage” of the Apollo 17 lift off ...that's what we are supposed to believe about the logistics?

Keep in mind, there were no coaxial cable networks in the year 1969 or 1972.

There weren't even sophisticated video relay stations at that time.

As every conservative knows, Sarah Palin reminded us how Alaskans would get their TV news airmailed to them on video tape (reel to reel) in the 1970's, from the lower 48 states. And Alaskan TV coverage would be a week late in 1970...

Yet, we are to believe that the Lunar Rover golf cart left behind on the "moon" had a circa 1970 analog color video camera strapped to it, with a sophisticated TV uplink and downlink transmitter/transceiver, that live streamed color video back to earth, or even somehow managed to hook up with the 17,000MPH Lunar orbiter, and they streamed it to earth, to one of these big 200 foot wide downlink TV receiver stations, who converted the footage for minimum broadcast standards, and Uplinked the footage to Houston, via TV relays across the world, and then it went back the same way to the "moon" so that Houston could remote control the zoom and tilt mechanism on the video camera on the "moon"... over half a billion miles to the "moon"

... within 1.5 seconds?

... how about 55 seconds?

... or 555 seconds?

Naw. Couldn't happen. You couldn't remote control a camera 500,000 miles round trip using technology from 1970 in a couple of seconds.

The video conversion process, supposedly done by the Deep State stations on earth, for the received "lunar c. 1970 video transmission" alone would take way too much time.

Wow, and to think how my cell phone still drops calls.

Yet this lunar transmittin' and receivin' went off without a hitch without any of the modern communications networks that we now have, with an analog camera that was left behind on the "moon" with some flimsy 24" antenna receiver transmitter?

But the biggest problem isn't even this line of Left Wing, liberal NASA cr*p. The biggest problem with this "moon" video is the year 1970 battery technology running all this stuff on the "lunar surface"... or not.

Still worried that you all are believing such a left wing, liberal and former Nazi organization like NASA... with all that Islam loving, Climate Change loving going on there.
