Some of may favorites:

- Mayonaise jar lined with white paper in the fridge.
- Velveeta cheese box in pantry or fridge.
- Sealed container in the toilet tank.
- Concealed trap door in the floor.
- False top in built-ins or cabinets (that don’t go to your ceiling.
- Likewise, trap door in the bottom of built-ins or cabinets. Conceal the door with a shelf liner.

Most of your suggestions are good. But I’ve read that the one above is a common drug-hiding place. It’s out of sight, yet easily accessible. So most burglars already know about it.

Sealed container in the toilet tank.

That's the first place the cops look when searching criminals' homes.

My Dad decided to take $25K cash out of his bank account and bring it home. He hates banks with a passion. I asked him where are you going to hide this? He ended up stuffing it in a shoe box and sticking it behind the big HVAC intake vent in his hallway. He unscrewed it and slid it right in there and screwed everything back in place. He kept it there for years and I finally asked him what happens if the house catches fire and it gets burned up?

He then bought a big fire resistant gun safe and bolted it to the floor in one of his bedroom closets he uses for storage.
