I am a Christian, born again and a Bible teacher. We told our children the story of the birth of Jesus always and often, and we shared the story of Santa Claus with them as well.
As they grew older, then themselves began to understand that Santa Claus was a myth, and they solidified their own spiritual beliefs.
In their minds, Christmas time is a time that associated with happiness, gift-giving, and family time as well as the virgin birth of Jesus who was sent to die and be resurrected for our forgiveness of sin by God
There's no reason to sadden children. They are very precious.

My parents insisted Santa was real well after I’d figured it out. When I asked my Sunday School teacher, she told the truth and I appreciated it.
