Buzzfeed reporter Adolfo Flores posted to Twitter a report from the announcement, “A group of women from the caravan just announced they’re going on a hunger strike in Tijuana to demand immediate Mexican temporary humanitarian visas while they wait for asylum in the US, the US to speed up the asylum process at the border, and stop to deportations of caravaners”
The “hunger strike” will be held at a border crossing for visibility (and media photo-ops.)

Fat bastards certainly don’t look like they just checked out of GULAG or anything like it.
As a taxpayer who will have to pay for the foodstamps of these invaders - if they ever get into the US - I fully support their Hunger Strike. I will also offer to contribute to a fund to ship their starved bodies back to their country - if that becomes necessary.
The USA should consider colonizing Central America and Mexico. Try to force reform on these people. A century ought to raise their education and standard f living.

they have no leverage or true reason to demand anything from the USA. they were not rounded up and forced out of their homes nor are they currently in threat of anything but by their own choosing to bring themselves to TJ and ignore mexico’s previous offer of asylum.
Mexico is rich in natural resources. Kill all the cartels and the corrupt politicians, educate the common people and give them opportunities, and they would do alright.
Other than the Army and a few hospital stays, I’ve always relied on myself to feed me and my familiy.
They have been told they have all these rights, education, healthcare, and welfare.
An open border works both ways.

Mexico ain’t gonna feed you forever and many of you could stand to lose a few pounds...
Hondurans - if somebody offers you free food, lodging and a free ride to paradise (USA), it ain't necessarily so...
Tijuanans - You thought you might make a few bucks from the liberals, bussing migrants to El Norte. Some donated "walking-around" money and Coyote fees for the local economy, right? Not quite the case, is it? They're still in Mehico, hungry, cold, and grouchy. You're stuck with them.
Mexicans - maybe you better beef up your southern border, since you can't just pass these people on to the gringos. It was fun while it lasted, but the game is up...
